StrategyOne now offers our proprietary Beltway Barometer research tool, as a quarterly Omnibus Survey.

The Beltway Barometer is a unique survey panel, maintained by StrategyOne, which contains the most politically active, influential, and engaged citizens living in Washington, DC and the immediate suburbs.

How It Works:

Utilizing StrategyOne’s Beltway Barometer Omnibus, clients can collect insights from D.C. elites, while avoiding the costs of an entire stand-alone survey.

The Omnibus is a multi-client survey, as such each client includes only a percentage of questions fielded. Using this research keeps fees lows, as the cost of necessary demographic information, as well as programming and interviewing are dispersed among multiple parties.

Cost:

We price our omnibus questions at a standard rate per question. For our Beltway Barometer Omnibus, each close-ended question is $2,000, and each open-ended question is $3,000.

Features of our Omnibus Include:

  • 400 person sample of D.C. opinion elites (200 Republicans and 200 Democrats)
  • A low margin of error (± 4.4% assuming a 95% level of confidence)
  • The ability to segment data across multiple demographic distinctions, including gender, age, income, political affiliation, ethnicity and education.

About the Beltway Barometer:

This unique research product, maintained by StrategyOne, targets the most politically elite, influential, and engaged citizens living in Washington, DC and the immediate suburbs. It is built from the most up-to-date congressional staff lists, lobbyist registration lists, high dollar political donor files, household wealth modeling in the wealthiest and most politically active Washington zip codes, as well as other proprietary sources.

Respondents from our Beltway Barometer panel are screened for engagement in the following activities:

  • Live in the Washington area zip codes with the highest concentration of large dollar political contributors and congressional staff.
  • Currently work or have worked in Congress, an Administration, the Judicial branch, A Federal Agency, The Pentagon, trade association, PAC, political consulting, Lobbying Firm, media, or multi-lateral NGO.
  • Hold at least a 4-year college degree.

By targeting these select opinion leaders, we can quantify and monitor elite policymaker sentiment within the Beltway.
